The DoD’s HCE was established to address and mitigate the magnitude of the auditory injuries made prevalent by war.
The HCE has taken steps to meet the mandate by developing a patient registry capable of exchanging information with
the VA, supporting internal and external research, and executing a new Comprehensive Hearing Health Program (CHHP)
to address hearing hazards, hearing protection, monitoring, and education. Through the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, the PASS vehicle is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that may be utilized within DoD or the VA, and which Knowesis has significant work supporting.

This IDIQ contract was developed to acquire professional research and program management support across a spectrum of capabilities that range from conducting, coordinating, and supporting research to providing analytics, business operations, information management and technology and a host of specific requirements within the research domains of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR), the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD), the U.S. Army Public Health Center (APHC), and the Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE). The Identification, Analysis, Recommendations, and Delivery of Military Health System (MHS) and Joint Staff (JS) Medical Capabilities for Defense Health Agency (DHA) (IAC MAC) FA8075-21-F-0021 (19-2025)

The IAC MAC is a streamlined acquisition option for MHS customers to conduct capability development, analysis and assessments. Knowesis is the subcontractor to Booz Allen Hamilton as the Prime Contractor. The goal of this IAC MAC Task Order is to support the Military Health System in current and emerging requirements for dedicated technical research, identification, analyses, recommendations, and delivery of medical capabilities to improve the survivability of the force and provide the highest quality of care for all beneficiaries.

The OMNIBUS IV award is an important advancement that supports the future of DoD research and development (R&D) programs. OMNIBUS IV is a streamlined acquisition option for DoD science and medical research missions, including research and development (R&D), R&D support services, regulatory processes support, and translation support services. DoD customers can use OMNIBUS IV to support R&D efforts, R&D support services, regulatory processes support and translational science support services. Each of these four areas are called “Market Segments” by the government. Knowesis offers Prime Services on OMNIBUS IV Market Segment (MS) 2, research and development support services and MS 4, translational science support services.
